THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK IN ANGER-GOOD MORNING

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK IN ANGER

“Stupid people express their anger openly, but sensible people are patient and hold it back.” (Proverbs 29:11 GNT)

Anger confounds many people in our world today. We simply don’t know how to handle our anger like we have in the past. One of the Bible’s simplest yet most profound answers for our anger comes in Proverbs 29:11: “Stupid people express their anger openly, but sensible people are patient and hold it back” (GNT).
Think before you speak. Delay is a tremendous remedy for anger. You don’t need to delay indefinitely. If you have an issue you need to deal with, you need to do so. Anger delayed indefinitely becomes bitterness. That’s worse than anger. Bitterness is always a sin; being angry isn’t. That is why the Bible says be angry but do not sin. Because anger carries with it the tendencies for sinning.
If you respond impulsively, you tend to respond in anger. If you wait to talk about whatever conflict you’re dealing with, you’ll be more rational and reasonable when you do. The longer you hold your temper, the better your response will be. Give yourself time to think.
When conflict arises and you give yourself time to think, what should you think about? Consider the following:
Is it truthful? Is what I’m about to say the truth?
Is it helpful? Or will it simply harm the other person?
Is it inspirational? Does it build up or does it tear down?
Is it necessary? If it’s not necessary, why do I need to say it?
Is it kind?
THINK before you speak. Reflect before you react. It will slow down your anger every time. It is always better and far rewarding to make friend and keep them than to pile enemies. Even nations of the world understand this truth and they keep working on their diplomatic ties with other countries. Make the world around you a comfortable, convenient and safe place for others to dwell in.
Prayer:
1 Every evil seed from midnight farmers, evil seed of anger, evil seed of lies, evil seed of bitterness, evil seed of envy , let it be destroyed in Jesus name
2 Everything that have scattered in my life, I gather it back, I gather my glory back, my prosperity back, breakthrough back, my success back in Jesus name.
3 Every voice speaking negativity into the atmosphere concerning my business, job, marriage, my carrier, from the throne room perspective, let it back fire in Jesus name.
Liberation thought: Do not let the sun go down on your anger
