HIM SHUDDA HANG

Alton Baker, 33, who was found guilty of two counts of murder on March 15 in the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole after 25 years.

The sentence was handed down in the Westmoreland Circuit Court on Monday by Justice Martin Gayle.

The judge, who has now been transferred to Westmoreland, had presided over the trial while stationed in St. Elizabeth.

The sentencing was postponed on March 30 due to an outstanding social enquiry report.

Baker was charged with the murder of two teenagers on January 8, 2014 in Thornton, St. Elizabeth.

The bodies of Desrick Williams and Ashnell Coke, both 15 years old, were found in bushes with chop wounds.
