Dear Jamaicans: Please pay attention to politics. Pay attention to what is happening in your government and your country. Soon you might have any public spaces or public lands. Your land might be forced away from you and be given to a few who already have it all. Please be attentive to politics and your politician or else one day you’ll wake up and there’s nothing left for you in your own country. The Rich in Jamaica has tried to buy up all the public beaches to make way for their private ventures in the tourism industry. You have to pay to go to every favorite waterhole or pleasurable places that you have always been to. Merge into this new allegation about a billionaire, Mr. Lee Chin, who is said now has more control over the NWC, the national water commission, in Jamaica than the government. He also owns NCB BANK. It is alleged that he is trying to buy up or muscle his way onto all the land in Jamaica where good coffee is grown. Particularly in the Blue Mountain area. Small business people and regular people have been growing coffee in these areas of the Blue Mountains and in parts of Portland all their lives. They have been making their living from the coffee business ever since Jamaica became a country. The Blue Mountain Lands are very valuable and many people want it, but the Maroon people have held their part of the land ever since the British left. Now it is been said that Mr. Lee Chin is trying to push the people off their land to make way for his big coffee business. Hope the Maroon people are steadfast and paying attention. The recent passing of the MP in Portland is very relevant to this story. This MP Dr. Bloomfield was trying or was working with the Maroons when came to land importance. This MP, Dr. Bloomfield, tried to help the people wit land preservation then he ended up dead. I am not sure if he is a part of the Portland coffee story but please keep your eyes open. My friends it seems like big business is coming for your land. Please do not sell it. Fight. Leave it for your grandchildren and people who will come after you. Do not allow big business and rich people to take your birthright. Pay attention to politics.

Lee chin already owns over 5,000 acres of coffee land, nwc is now run by one of the economic growth counsel member, MR Aubyn hill, its already known to the public that new water meters will be installed along with a new water rate that will be raised. however their 5% growth in 4 years they had projected is obviously a pipe dream, due to corruption,public institutional foot dragging & extremely high importation of food, therefore no growth.
