LMAOOOOOOOOOO JAMAICAN BAD PPL

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Is it that Jamaican manufacturers are more honest than those from Trinidad and Tobago? A quick survey of my kitchen reveals Jamaican product labels showing the country of origin of what is packaged (ginger, coconut milk powder), while the bag of peanuts and raisins from Trinidad does not mention the country of origin.

Am I to presume that T&T has vineyards to grow the grapes? I have never seen a bottle of Trinidadian wine. I suspect that the peanuts, too, are not grown there.

Standardising the labels on goods would help to know what comes from where, and I would hope for lower tariffs for real Caribbean goods, and higher for the repackaged foreign ones.
