MESSADO WANTS TO BE REMOVED FROM ROLL OF ATTORNEYS

Attorney Jennifer Messado, who is under investigation by the police for several cases of fraud, has applied to have her name removed from the roll of attorneys in Jamaica.

An application for the removal was filed on Thursday in the Supreme Court.

This was confirmed by Mrs Messado’s attorney, Patrick Bailey, in an interview with RJR News on Friday.

Mr. Bailey said the application will now require the consent of the General Legal Council before it can be approved and Mrs Messado removed from the roll.

Messado, who specialises in real estate transactions, has been arrested several times in recent weeks following allegations of fraud.

The Supreme Court last month granted another order freezing her assets.

She is currently out on bail.

  1. So she doesn’t get sued and she can say that she was never disbarred … I can’t just take what is not yours and go on with your life

  2. I guess it is better in her eyes than being disbarred. kmt, wedda you initiate it or dem disbar you, you still is an unethical, crooked ass lawyer who is a disgrace to the profession, your family and the entire country.

  3. I hope the police is going through her entire history. They are just touching the surface. She did not start doing these fraudulent real estate transactions recently. It goes back years.
