LOTTERY SCAMMERS CHARGED

The St Elizabeth police on Sunday, November 29 charged two people for lottery scamming.

Charged are: 29-year-old Andre Bailey, painter of Main Street, Balaclava in the parish and 26-year-old Kevin Harvey, cabinet maker of Gardner Crescent, Granville in St James.

Reports are that about 5:00 am an operation was conducted during which premises occupied by both men was searched and five sheets of paper containing identity information of people living in the USA were allegedly found. Additionally, paraphernalia related to lottery scamming activities including cellular phones were also seized. The men were subsequently arrested and charged.
They were both taken before the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and were granted bail in the sum of J$one million.
