What a pity though. When mi hear what the nowadays young people listening to, mi juss haffi smh. Sometimes mi wonda ef ah sumn wrong wid me, but it obvious sey dem really nuh know any better still

        1. Those men in the days never have access to education like them but their music reflected natural intelligence…mi a wonder wha di reason fi di now a days artiste dem lack of luster and intelligence now that they have access to so much more than the ones before them??

  1. Stp give batty man so much attention in reggae music n start mke back good music then jamaican artists will get d recognition.

      1. Dem wanting to out do the elders so bad, till dem do phuckry.

Dem feel entitled and don’t have any manners and fall fi anything.. it then reflects in the music.

  2. Jah cure,Ibamar, chronixx, protoje and many more a du good music…is the radio station them that have the dis jackass dem a produce shit n a play on the radio mek it look su..I live in Phoenix Arizona and more people know who is Taurus Riley is more than vybz kartel..I went to his show n the white people dem bring them kids but the show keep in a club so they turn back..I say that to say this who is bigger in Jamaica?

  3. And di hip hop beat music a kill dancehall if yuh chat patois pon hip hop beat now a di new dancehall… even reggae artistdem deh pon it 2. Di foreigna dem just like a good beat even if dem no understand why dem wyaan hip hop dem cyaan understan. sum a di jamaican artist dem a too much trouble when dem travel when di local artist dem a pull di crowd same way ……… attitude a di key word

  4. See it deh Lalibela! Wha me did a say wha day yah clovis highlight it!! Damn tho,Killa always a go be pictured wid his hamma!??

  5. Even if our reggae is not like it use to be it still better dan what I hear dese foreigners singing an yet still dem a get more recognition and credit, I tink dem a strategise fi tief dis genre a music put a likkle twist to it an call it dem own, if yuh listen Justin beiber hit song “sorry” u can hear di reggae/dancehall influence in it, is di samting dese culture vultures do to RnB speed it up call it pop music and claimed it, and is a lot of other genre of black music dem tief and is always di same strategy dem use wit a likkle help from our own ppl which is stiffle good music by don’t promote it don’t reward it, but mass produce di mediocre and saturate di market wid dat till it value nothing……tyreese call out som disjocks other day by going to di radio station and ask why so many black artis doing di same RnB songs as Sam smith and Adele yet dere songs not playing……dese culture vultures is di ones own di distribution companies and dats where 90% of di power lies….

  6. The foundation of reagge music was built on Rastafarian culture and so,you could hear it in the earlier dancehall tracks. We must find a way to connect the youths to their foundation urgently.

  7. Good music still a mek all the artist dem a do good music its not our type of music a fi the younger generation dem jus like wen mi did a yute bounty n beenie mi listen to mi fadda use to say a no good music him wan hear Dennis brown n dem man dem mi neva wan hear that mi wan hear bounty n beenie a jus so time change we a get old so our music n younger yute music ago different n we no wan hear that a jus so time change n things change

  8. Met, it’s also about our dancing also. People in d dancehall faternity need 2 start copywrite their dance moves. All these international stars r taking our dance moves n putting it in their videos n a mke money. The jamaican dancers who create d moves aren’t getting any recognition 4 their creativity r even a pay cheque fr d like of Justin Beiber, Beyonce, Rihanna etc. Look at Justin Beiber music video for “Sorry” everything in it is dancehall n d New Zealand choreographer a tke all d credit like she’s d one tht made up d dance moves. Dem thief d Butterfly n call it tootsie roll, dem thief Dutty Wine n call it wipe d hair. It’s full time jamaicans dancehall faternity cum together n tke bck what is there’s. Only jamaican alone nah make money off dem own inventions.
