A CELLphone video showing a 13-year-old schoolboy of Barataria North Secondary School being beaten by a female classmate has gone viral on social media.
The video was captured by another pupil on Tuesday. The incident took place in a classroom between the hours of 1-2 p.m. and no teachers were close by when the incident occurred.
The mother of the boy, Lana Maharaj-Boodoo, 41, told the Express her son was attacked by the class bully, who has been taunting her son for months.
She said her son came home almost every day complaining that his attacker ripped his school books or stole his money.
Maharaj-Boodoo said her child is now afraid to go to school and is having sleepless nights since the incident. The video shows Maharaj-Boodoo’s son being beaten and punched by the young woman.
Explicit language and screams can also be heard.
