Rite-Aid, a popular pharmacy chain in the United States, is now being used in the now popular Jamaican lottery scam. The state police in Pennysylvania are warning its citizens to be on the look out for phony sweepstake callers who are telling victims that they have won money through Rite-Aid.
The most recent victim is said to be an elderly woman who got a call from Jamaica stating that she had won $18,000.00 USD . The caller further told the woman that she had to purchase a prepaid debit-card (Green-dot) with a sum of $500.00 which would cover the taxes for her winnings. The information was then given to the caller who then access the funds from the debit-card information provided
