ANJU BLAXXX LAWYER SEH INNOCENT

NATHAN Diamond, the Florida attorney representing Jamaican music producer Anju Blaxxx, is vouching for his client’s innocence.
“An innocent man always feels good,” said Diamond, in response to the Jamaica Observer’s queries about his client’s mood.
The 30-year-old Blaxx, whose given name is Andrew Myrie, was arrested on lottery scam charges in Florida last Friday.
The charges against the music producer are mail and wire fraud in connection with telemarketing fraud in North Dakota.
Diamond, however, was successful in securing Blaxxx’s release on bond pending the trial on Wednesday. The producer was making his second appearance in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Miami. His first was on Monday.
US federal prosecutors are, however, appealing that court’s ruling.
Observer’s checks with the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota did reveal prosecutors are seeking a review of the judge’s order of release.
“It may take days or weeks. But, once that’s done, his next court appearance will be in North Dakota,” said a court worker, who wished not to be identified.
One of dancehall’s leading producers, Blaxxx is the CEO for UIM Records.
UIM’s breakout song was 2007’s Dagga Dat by Bragga on the 300 Round beat. He scored big in 2013 with Bugle’s chart-topping hit No Compatible.
The label also charted with hits from the Purge, Sanction, Journey, Beach Bunx, Coolie Gal, Nymphomaniac, and Klappaz rhythms.
His Punjabi beat features dancehall heavyweights including Mavado, Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Spice, Blak Diamon, Alkaline and Konshens.
