METEORITE KILLS MAN IN INDIA

What was first reported has now been confirmed as the first meteorite death in over 200 years. A man on the campus of Bharathidasan Engineering College in Natrampalli, Tamil Nadu, India died on February 7th from the explosion. Reports were that two gardeners were clearing and area on the college campus when they heard a drone-like object flying which then caused an explosion. A dark blue stone resembling a diamond was found at the scene and is being investigated. Scientists investigating the scene said that, “When no evidence of explosive material was found, we moved to the theory that it might be a meteorite,” said a district official who asked not be named. “It is not confirmed yet as samples need to be analysed.”
