MAN GETS 20 YEARS FOR SHOOTING GUN INTO AIR

huh

A 47-year-old Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for firing a weapon into the air.

Francis Aponte was at an outdoor party in June 2012 when two Philadelphia police officers saw him shoot a gun into the air.

KYW-AM said that act, along with a criminal record including at least one prior felony, has resulted in the 20-year sentence handed down Tuesday.

No one was hurt, but federal prosecutor Jose Arteaga argued that the defendant committed a potentially lethal offense.

Arteaga noted several prior instances of children and adults being killed or disabled in similar incidents in Philadelphia.

  1. Met did you see the judges that were sentenced to 28 years foe sending kids to prison because they being paid millions by the prison owners to keep their facilities occupied? Well, prison is big business. Michael Jordan made over 300 million just investing in prisons and black people kill each other and spend their last dime to wear his sneakers. It’s time people wake up to what’s going on in this country. We have more prisoners than the rest of the world. People do not educate themselves on their rights as citizens. Jurors need to start rendering nullification. No matter the evidence, when it comes before you, shit you don’t agree with you vote not guilty. Marijuana cases, three strikes cases, vote not guilty, only then will they change the laws.
