A 36-year-old Mutorashanga man was apprehended by commuters after he allegedly tried to run away from his goblin.
Brighton Magutakuona attempted to run away after he allegedly dropped a goblin from his trousers.
It is alleged that Magutakuona, a farmer in Mutorashanga, was travelling in a commuter omnibus when it appeared to have caught fire, resulting in all the occupants disembarking.
Magutakuona was the last person to get out from the commuter omnibus and eye witnesses said his trousers was burning attracting the attention of commuter omnibus occupants.
Magutakuona tried to escape but was apprehended and he later on confessed to the police that he was given the goblin by his aunt as a charm for good luck and for him to be a good farmer.
Police officers from Marlborough Police Station attended to the incident and a statement was recorded in an occurrence book since there are no charges which can be laid against him under Zimbabwean laws.
Police Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed the incident.
