GUN MAN SHOOT UP NINE NIGHT IN CLARENDON

There was more blood-letting in Clarendon last night after a gunman opened fire on mourners attending a wake in the community of Gayle.

When the shooting ended, one man was dead and four other persons were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

The dead man has been identified as 59-year-old Winston Lynch.

Reports are that he was among a group of persons attending the wake when a lone gunman opened fire hitting five persons before escaping in the area on foot.

Lynch was one of two persons killed in the parish last night.

About an hour earlier, 30-year-old labourer Christopher Dyer was fatally shot by a lone gunman in the community of Farm.

Reports say Dyer was at a cookshop with other patrons when the gunman crept up behind him and opened fire.
