Investigators are trying to ascertain the motive for the murder of an elderly couple in the community of Retreat in St. Thomas.
They have been identified as Melbourne Flake who was believed to be in his eighties and his wife Eta who was in her seventies. It’s reported that they recently returned from overseas.
According to police reports, sometime before 11 o’clock yesterday morning, workmen went to the couple’s house to carry out repairs. After calling and not getting a response, the workmen contacted relatives of the Flakes.
The bodies, which had signs of trauma, were found in two rooms. There were no signs of forced entry
