I have to give you/us who carry the torch of women and sex abuse who are trying to save the others who may fall victim to one of Jamaica’s gravest ills a shout out..I thank you all..I LOVE YOU!

Over the weekend I received an email from a young woman who is married and is now finding it difficult to go on in the marriage. She was raped at an early age but never told anyone because she felt ashamed…(Because of her we will keep our rape topics up front..all day every-day) She says she came across JMG recently and is sorry she did not have the help before or knew of the website while we were raising our banner/voices…Anyhoot..

She is indeed married..and in her twenties but hates men..she has sex with her husband not because she likes it but because she has to and wants to set an example for her child…Presently it is becoming harder to keep the marriage because she cant stand the husband’s touch and the rape as a child is now eating her alive…I will invite her here to speak to us one day this week but where can she go in Jamaica for free help victim of a rape that happened over ten years ago?

I feel sorry for her. Yes giving her this platform will definitely be the beginning of the catharsis she’ll need to eventually be rid of this demon. She should tell her husband and both of them work through it. Good luck miss.

This is so sad on all levels. Therapy helps though…
