  1. One thing that helped me get over my addiction was moving out of God’s way. Some things are bigger than us and they need supernatural healing . Ask God to intervene and then move out of his way and let me get u out of this

  2. Girl you need professional help, there’s nothing that anyone can say that can cure you. I’m glad you want to quit but alcohol withdrawal is dangerous for someone in your situation, you should seek professional help from your doctor to help you withdraw safely, maybe that’s why you feel ill why you abstain. I feel so bad for you because I know the destruction that alcoholism brings, I’m sorry you’re in this place but I’m so happy you recognise and own up to having a problem with drinking, I have so many friends in various stages of alcoholism and all seem to be in denial, most Jamaicans don’t recognise alcoholism as a disease. I’m not judging you because I have my own vices, we all do. I hope you get the help you need and the strength to fight this battle ahead, you need all the support you can get and it might mean cutting ties with alcoholic relatives as it requires super human strength to quit while still socialising with alcoholics. You could also get some support from a local Alcoholics Anonymous group.

  3. Alcohol is a hell of a drug. It’s a stronghold. Wine & spirits? They’re not lying about the spirits. It took me years to quit and I relapsed a few times. The worst habit to pick up. I smoked weed b4 and it was easier to quit weed than alcohol. Ask God for help, get therapy and rehab if needed.

  4. Prayer, good support system and professional/trained help. I find fasting helps a lot of different issues (Mental/Physical/Spiritual/Emotional)

  5. Hello,

Many alcoholics start drinking very early and continue until death. It does not matter how old you are.

Please contact any of the numbers on this website, a real person will answer the phone, and there are meetings every night in Liguanea at the St. Peter and Paul church at seven and eight o’clock.

Many times people drink because of social anxiety and depression. There is a real correlation between those two things and alcoholism. If you need help honey there are people who will definitely help you.

    Blessings.

  6. Is that how you respond to a persons plight ? By saying ” this chick cant be serious “? I sincerely hope that genuine prayers will be sent out for her.. God will heal your situation ,I am happy you have started by admitting …much love

  7. I’m no expert here, you can only stop if you want to seek professional help. Try other alternative like a root beer pretend it’s a beer and ask god to help you. I have a friend who was battling alcoholism for years he lost his family, home, vehicle
And job because of alcohol. I thought he would never stop until he almost lost his life.
He didn’t go to any rehabs or none of that, he just wanted to stop, he spoke to god and started drinking root beer, he’s six months clean. Pray!
