  1. This is the problem I have with these prep courses, they put poor kids at a disadvantage. The ministry should teach HS teachers how to go about getting their kids through the college application process. $1100 US steep fi regular Joe who wants to give their kids a chance. SAT prep courses are expensive but dis just seems dear.

    1. They’re not going to do that. Will contribute even more to the “brain-drain” of Jamaica.

The price she offeref is extremely expensive when you look at income differences vs the jmd. Crazy but those who can, will!

    2. The way I see it is, if you cannot afford SAT/ACT prep classes, how are going to afford Tuition at US tertiary institutions? Tutions various from USD$30K to $75K per year. The tuition averages about $60K for private colleges.

The in-thing these days is for well-off Jamaicans to send their kids to US Universities/Colleges. There are very good (free) online resources for SAT/ACT prep, so there is no need for these overprice test prep classes.

  2. Oh ok now mi see how Nicole whey fava when donkey a chew cane a get money fi buy dem ugly ass cork bottom espadrilles ohhh okkk so whey poor ppl fi do Nicole????? Unnu no easy sah

  3. For those who can’t afford the “teefing” price … check the US Embassy I think USAID sponsors a SAT prep course thru the embassy and its free.

    1. Lots of the stuff the more fortunate in Jamaica doing is Robbery!!! That’s why a lot of them not leaving, because they think they’re someone when there.

  4. This is the price range for the other SAT prep classes in Jamaica honestly. It’s steep for many Jamaicans but if you cant afford go to the US embassy. If you can’t afford something just move on and stop cussing the lady. She’s very irritating but I have to be fair.

  5. I think she offers tailored courses for that price. Not a bad investment if you manage to secure a scholarship.
