A man who was brutally beaten last Wednesday by an angry mob in St Catherine succumbed to his injuries at hospital early this morning (Monday, December 22).
Dead is 44-year-old Willowby Kelly of a Spanish Town address in the parish.
It is reported that Kelly and an accomplice allegedly went to the Halkers Hall community where they attempted to steal tyres. The two men were reportedly attacked by residents in the area and severely beaten. They were admitted to hospital in serious condition.
The condition of the other man is unknown at this time.
