MISSING JAMAICAN MAN AND GIRLFRIEND MAY HAVE DIED IN CAR CRASH

Missing Jamaican-American couple believed to have died in car crash in Dom Rep

Authorities in the Dominican Republic believe they have found the bodies of an American couple who disappeared late last month after checking out of their hotel.

Officials suspect, 40 year-old Orlando Moore, who is also a Jamaican citizen, and his girlfriend 52 year-old Portia Ravenelle, both of Mount Vernon, New York, died in a car crash on their way to the airport on March 27.

The update was given at a news briefing late Tuesday by police in the Dominican Republic.

A woman believed to be Ms Ravenelle was found unconscious along the side of the road on March 27, the same day the couple were to have travelled to the airport.

On March 31, police found a man, believed to be Mr. Moore, dead in a car in the ocean.

The woman later passed away at a hospital.

The victims had no identification on them but police say they match the missing couple’s description.

The police are hoping that fingerprints or some other physical evidence will lead to a positive ID of the couple.

  1. No Identification on them when hey were supposed to be on their way to the airport???? Smells Fishyyyy

    1. Since the car plunged to the bottom of the sea it is very likely that they would not have had any id on them. A woman usually carries her ids in her wallet which is in her purse and that would have been in the car, not on her person. Obviously she either jumped out of the vehicle or was ejected from it. The guy likely had his wallet in his pocket, but the water would have washed it out since he was in the water almost a week before he was discovered, not to mention he would have been tossed about some in the vehicle during the accident. Only they and God know what happened on that journey in the dark of night. Another news source said some fishermen heard a loud bang from the highway on the night of the accident and that is how they found the lady. It doesn’t appear to be anything fishy at this point.

May God be with their loved ones.

  2. I don’t understand how they were found at different places. Was she thrown out of the vehicle on impact? About the Id, it might have been in their bags in their car.

  3. DR ppl are racist. They think they are white. You see how they treat the Haitians. I was hoping that these two would of been found alive. This is really sad. I hope they find their killers. What a tragic end. You can clearly see that they were enjoying themselves.

  4. People up top the girl was ejected from the car on the wayside , the car was in the water for days no one notice for days , that is why the male body was found eaten by fish. They were on there way to the airport , they were late for their flight .

  5. THI SOUND AND LOOKI FISHY LIKE THE BATTYMAN THEM WHEN THEN COME A STREET. SOMEONE KILLED THESE PEOPLE AND DUMP THEM OFF IN DIFFERENT LOCATION. TRUST NO ONE

  6. this is a cover up on the part of the government of DR to preserve the tourist industry. The couple never left the hotel! How is it there is no surveillance of them leaving the hotel or getting in their car? They were robbed, murdered and the accident is staged!

Trust no one!!!!! Trust no one!!!!

    1. Send the information you have to Met so she can do a post.

This case is very twisted, all look like obeah could on it or Duppy come back fi dole out justice. It is not a simple case, it look very supernatural from some of the tings coming out. May the deceased find peace on the other side. Condolences to the family and loved ones.
