KNOWLEDGE THAT CHANGES DESTINY- GOOD MORNING

KNOWLEDGE THAT CHANGES DESTINY

“Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,” Romans 2:7 – 8

Form a love pattern of looking out for the needs of your fellow brethren in the Lord. Jesus said what so ever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. He explained further saying, when I was hungry you gave me meat to eat, when I was thirsty you gave me drink, when I was naked you clothed me and when I was in prison you visited me; thus, He invited those who did these things into His kingdom. These deeds are acts of love that attract God who is love personified into a relationship in which He reveals Himself to the doer.

The bible encourages us to not be weary in well doing because if we persevere we will reap a harvest. The greatest harvest we could ever reap is the harvest of knowledge in the revelation of who God is. When Jesus asked His disciples that who do you say that I am, Peter by divine revelation said you are the Christ, the son of the living God. That knowledge of God changed Peter’s destiny; he was transformed from being the reed that is blown by the wind into the rock upon which the church will be built with the guarantee that the gates of hell will not prevail against that church. It is worthy to note that Peter was already a man who did good things; he gave his boat to Jesus to use and preach the gospel, he invited other people to come and partake of the great catch of fish that was breaking his net and he immediately dropped his net and followed Jesus when he was invited.

Liberation thought: We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works

Further reading: Acts 17:22 – 31

Prayer:

Mighty God, in your mercy, grant me the grace to do only good works that please you, in the name of Jesus!
Father, thank you because you are the one at work in me, causing me to desire and to do your good pleasure, in the name of Jesus
