FIVE LOTTERY SCAMMERS ARRESTED IN HANOVER

Five men suspected of being involved in the lottery scam are in police custody following an operation in Kew, Hanover on Wednesday morning.

The men are reportedly from Mount Salem, Flanker and Cornwall Courts in St. James, as well as Hopewell in Hanover.

Deputy Superintendent Sharon Beeput, Commanding Officer for the Hanover police division, told RJR News that US$8,900 and J$83,000 were seized.

Several electronic items were also confiscated in the operation.
