I will write about three articles……This one about his death…One about how he lived and the next one will be about his assets because there will be great contention over what he has left behind.
Whomever killed Rowl Fowl killed him at the ”right time” . Word on the street is that men had wanted Fowl out before now because of how he deceptively covered for his son.
Contrary to what Fowl said in my 2013 interview with him about him not doing the drug runs anymore. This was not true, there was still mixing and dealing going on hence Fowl’s reasons to keep in contact with the men who were dons. The men he knew from the U.K who went back to Jamaica after their incarceration continued to run their drug businesses and bought legal businesses and used the funds to buy their way into don-man-ship.
These men were always a part of Roy Fowl’s circle, regardless of their powers, he was friends with them before and because he continued his business as well, it was good to keep their contacts especially for protection.
For those who knew Roy Fowl well, knew that he was particular about the women he dated. Most had careers and did not replicate his crowd. In saying this, the mothers of his children raised his children well . All except for one of his sons, Kareem who constantly got into trouble. This son was the source of Fowl’s distress and he often complained that he did not understand why he was the only one of his children to act the way he did.
Fowl’s son took advantage of the fact that his father was friends with dons on both sides of the fence to his advantage. His father’s respect saved him from death.
It is rumored that Fowl’s son killed a young man from Waldie’s turf and blamed it on men from Bitty’s circle. This started a gang war before Waldie died as Waldie was intent on killing back men in Bitty’s circle for the young man’s death. Waldie even threatened to kill Bitty’s son. All the while the gang war was in progress, Fowl kept his friendship with both men. Word on the street was that Waldy had Bitty’s brother-in-law and Bitty’s son’s uncle killed. The war continued on after Waldie’s death because each side was determined to get their own pound of flesh.
During the war, it was revealed to Bitty and his men that his side, were being blamed for a murder they did not commit. Bitty kept his friendship with Fowl.
In January of last year, Fowl invited Bitty and Waldie’s men to his anual cook out (Waldie was killed a few months before in October 2017). It was said that both sides did not know that the other was invited. The don above Bitty, Muscle, felt that Fowl disrespected him and told Bitty that Fowl had to go because he was covering up for his son who as the initial cause of the war. And to top it off, Muscle’s son was killed.
Muscle remains abroad
A child was caught in the crossfire of the gang war and the attack was said to have come from Waldie’s side. It was then that the higher powers who Waldie named decided that he must go because he had no scruples about whom he killed.
After Waldie’s death and the cook out mishap, things took a turn for the worse with the turf war and by April 2018, Bitty decided that it was best for him to go to Kencot to hide out. He told Fowl of his plans and on the day he was killed , Fowl was said to have called him about giving him some money to hold him down while he was going to be off his turf. While he was talking to Fowl, he was killed. Fowl was blamed by Bitty’s people for setting him up. People who knew Fowl said that Bitty was killed by his own men because they had lost people in the war and Bitty did not want to get rid of Fowl whose son was the cause of their distress.
Bitty’s loyalty to Fowl was because Fowl had always held him down and they had known each other from the UK. Fowl was rumored to have bought Bitty a car when he returned home.
Fowl was blamed for Bitty’s death
A few days before Fowl died, his nephew, Suckie who was also in the U.K with him and deported had a falling out . Rumors are that the argument was explosive and was about a drug bust. Fowl was said to have pulled a gun on his nephew and threatened his life, the nephew in turn told him that he would not kill him the way he had killed Bitty. Fowl took away some of the responsibilities he gave him . Of course word of his nephew’s argument with him hit the streets which set the stage for his murder.
With his nephew’s words, both sides saw it as an equal opportunity to have him killed. No one is taking ownership but there are no sad eyes on the three sides of this war. Fowl’s friends are the ones who are sad and confused. Sad, because on one hand he was not deserving and confused because it could have been anyone who killed him.
