BWAAY MI HAFFI LAUGH (TRINI) MAN HIRED TO REPOSSESS TRUCK TIED UP AND BEATEN FOR THEFT

A man hired to repossess a truck ended up being tied up and his pants pulled down by a group of vigilantes who thought he was stealing the vehicle.

And it was all captured on cell phone video and shared with the world.

However, police say no action will be taken against the man “detained” by the citizens and “convicted” by some people on social media.

The incident happened on Thursday morning at Sum Sum Hill, Claxton Bay. And according to police, the man who is the subject of the video was one of two people hired by the owner of a truck to get it back from the man who had been given the job of driving it.

However, when some of the people at Sum Sum Hill saw the two men, they thought it was a vehicle theft taking place.

The video shows what they did with one of the men, who ended up with a swollen eye and bruises on the head, his handed tied, and pair of pants pulled down past his knees.

At least six villagers were involved in the “detention”.
