Five murdered overnight in Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad and Tobago woke to news Wednesday morning that five more people were murdered overnight. The homicide tally as of Wednesday morning was 20. Two men were shot and killed in Arima. Two men were also shot and killed in El Dorado Tuesday night, not far from the scene where a woman was fatally shot. Some 516 people were murdered in the twin island republic last year. That was up from 494 the previous year. Jamaica, with a population twice the size of Trinidad and Tobago, recorded 37 murders as at January 14.
