An unlicensed nurse stole the identity of another nurse so she could get a job at local hospitals, according to published reports of Alicia Patrice England’s arrest in Delaware County earlier this year.

Alicia Patrice England, 31, of Drexel Hill, was charged with identity theft, theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, bad checks and access device fraud, according to court records.

According to reports published by NBC10, Alicia Patrice England stole Alicia Anne England’s nursing license to get a job at St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown. The hospital released a statement acknowledging that a former employee allegedly misappropriated a license and they have been cooperating with law enforcement. It said that the person’s employment ended last year.

Alicia Patrice England, who was charged by Haverford police in September, had a temporary nursing license registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State for one year. That expired Sept. 30, 2006.

Alicia Anne England, of Havertown, is actively registered with the state. She could not be reached for comment Friday night. It’s her license that Alicia Patrice England used to get jobs at Chestnut Hill Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center, according to published reports.

St. Mary Medical Center said it provided information to police and licensing authorities. Hospital officials said it has implemented enhancements to its application process and credentials verification procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The hospital said that it reviewed its patient records and that “revealed no adverse impact on the quality of patient care or the safety of patients.” It declined to comment further citing the police investigation.

According to court records, Alicia Patrice England has previously pleaded guilty to tampering with public records, theft and related charges in several separate cases since 2005 and received probationary sentences.

  1. She is effeminately sick. I had a friend who was deported back to Jamaica and was doing the same thing, acting as a fake Doctor in Jamaica. He never went to medical school and had severe mental issues. Was caught doing the same thing in New York.
