Ten murdered in 24 hours

Gunmen went on a rampage, killing ten people from Friday into Saturday morning in four parishes.

The attacks that occurred in Kingston, St Andrew, St. Catherine and St. Elizabeth, included a quadruple murder in August Town and a triple killing in Linstead.

Senior Superintendent Jacqueline Green, head of the St Andrew Central Police Division, also told RJR News that seven persons were shot in Hermitage, August Town on Friday. She said the incident is linked to a gang feud.

Three of deceased have been identified as 37-year-old businessman Ricardo Manhertz, 27-year-old delivery man Ricardo Clarke and 19-year-old Hakeem Sanchez.

The other deceased has not been identified.

According to SSP Green the police will be maintaining their prescence in the community to prevent a further flare-up of violence.
