A St. Thomas teacher has been arrested and charged with having s*xual intercourse with a person under 16.
He was charged on Tuesday.
A statement from the police said the accused, who teaches the complainant, allegedly convinced the child to engage him in s*xual activities on more than one occasion.
He is scheduled to appear before the St. Thomas Parish Court on January 24.
