SISTER ASKS JUDGE FOR LENIENCY FOR BROTHER

A man, accused of using a knife to assault his sister and stealing her cellphone more than a year ago, was given a suspended sentence when he appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on Tuesday.

His sister pleaded with the judge for leniency.

Oniel Walsh of Burnt Savannah was handed a two year suspended sentence with probation and is to get anger management counselling with supervision.

It was reported that he confronted his sister over money which he said was owed to him by her common-law-husband.
