Took my wife to the May Pen Hospital for asthma and the hospital is without Doctors. The few nurse available saying they cannot do anything without a Doctor. No one to attended to the patients. Been here since 5am and we are told by a very unprofessional Nurse to go use the bathroom, urinate and just wait. A very impolite security Guard told my wife she’s roaming and will be locked out because she was moving about seeking assistant.
A young lady is laying on the floor in pain and no one to assist.
Patients coming in and is told to wait until 7am to register at the customer service desk before they can go inside.
It’s a disaster here at the May pen hospital. People are going to die for lack of attention!!!! — feeling sad.

  1. Bottom line: Free healthcare is a recipe for disaster. More than half the “working” population of the country do not pay any income taxes, yet they want free healthcare, free education up to secondary school, free housing (live on capture land and pay zero property taxes), well maintained roads and they stealing electricity/water in large numbers.

Where is the money suppose to come from to adequately support all these free services? The current government got rid of the fees for healthcare and the payment of zero income taxes up to a certain level of income. Blame them for the sad state of affairs of the country.

  2. Mi had to laugh at the last sentence “people are going to die for lack of attention” because that’s all some a unnu a look with post like these. If there are no doctors on call what did you want the nurses there to do other than tell you nuh doctor nuh deh yah? Why yuh never tek yuh wife to a private doctor? Oh they don’t work at nights right? Unnu a gwaan like Jamaica a some good good place where morale is high and people are safe to move about without fear, if yuh sick yuh have to find hospital but doctor nuh sick suh him don’t have to be there, have a plan b fi next time, because it come een like some a unnu a sleep walk and nuh see seh, soon unnu won’t have no doctor or nurse or unprofessional security guard if Jamaica continues on this same path, unu fi vote out the crosses dem and demand better governance!

    1. Hands down one of the most ignorant comments I have read here. A wha kinda mentality dis? If it a major hospital, it should have doctors on call 24/7….bout plan fi sickness…ignoramus…

  3. Politicians dont care they all go abroad for medical attention so its neither here nor there to them.
