JAMAICAN MAN WANTED FOR MURDER AND ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN

Miami Gardens resident Noel Chambers is wanted on charges of murder and attempted murder after his wife and a daughter were found dead Saturday night, Miami Gardens police said.

Another daughter, an adult, was in critical but stable condition.

Chambers, 57, “used an edge weapon,” in the attacks Miami Gardens Officer Carlos Austin said.

Miami Gardens police didn’t give the exact age of Chambers’ younger daughter, but Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvahlo put the child’s age at 10 in a Sunday morning Tweet.

@MiamiSup
Hearing infuriating and devastating reports of the murder of a 10-year-old child during a domestic dispute. This is so wholly unnatural and inexcusable. I pray for this child’s soul and that peace is found after death, that this innocent child did not experience in life. #Enough

According to Miami Gardens police, when they got to the Miami Gardens Apartments in the 600 block of Northwest 177th Street around 11 p.m., they found Chambers’ wife on an apartment back porch, his juvenile daughter inside the apartment and an adult daughter outside the apartment “suffering from multiple wounds.”

Chambers’ wife and younger daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.
