One of two Jamaicans who were on the run following a drug bust in the Cayman Islands on June 18 is now reportedly in the custody of the Jamaican police.
It’s being reported in The Cayman Islands that 26 year old Jerome Calbert has surrendered to the Jamaican authorities.
Mr. Calbert, who was believed to have been in the Cayman Islands illegally, went on the run following a drug bust with another Jamaican, 43 year old Garth Stewart.
Mr. Stewart, who was also said to be in the Cayman Islands illegally, is still missing. It is not clear whether he remains in Cayman or has also returned to Jamaica.
During the raid, the police seized a large quantity of ganja in a shed.
However, police said the Jamaicans, who were on the property, eluded them during the pre-dawn operation.
