IMMIGRATION ARRESTS JAMAICAN EX-POLICE WANTED FOR ROBBERY AND ATTEMPTED MURDER

ICE arrests Jamaican national wanted for robbery, attempted murder
NEW YORK – A Jamaican national wanted to face charges of robbery, attempted murder and wounding with intent in his home country was arrested Nov. 22 by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) deportation officers, assisted by ERO New York Special Response Team (SRT) operators.

Mwando Lloyd Pryce, 31, was admitted to the U.S. legally with a nonimmigrant visa in August 2009 with authorization to remain in the United States until Feb. 7, 2010. Pryce failed to depart the United States as required. In August 2015, Interpol issued a Red Notice for Pryce, for crimes committed while he was Police Constable in Jamaica.

“Even with the difficulties of working in a ‘sanctuary’ city, ICE will not allow violent criminals to seek refuge from prosecution within our borders,” said Thomas R. Decker, field office director for ERO New York. “This arrest is another example of ERO’s dedication to finding these criminals and removing them from our city. Pryce will soon have to answer to charges in his home country.”
In Aug. 2017, ERO Headquarters, in Washington D.C. advised ERO New York that Pryce may be living in the New York City metropolitan area. On Nov. 22, 2017, Pryce was arrested by ERO deportation officers in Bronx, New York, on immigration charges. He was issued a Notice to Appear before an immigration judge and is currently in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.

  1. He has been in the USA for close to 8 years. That means he was about 23 or younger when he committed those crimes in Jamaica.

  2. a whole heap a dem run lef ja after committing crimes, and farrin woman tek up dem nastiness, that’s hy they are resigning in droves, some marry an still a wuk a ja one foot in an one out as dem do anything dem fly out

  3. This is a common move. Nuff ex Jamaican police are living in the US doing mediocre jobs just to keep a low profile and stay outta di spotlight. Nuff a dem a travel inna dead people name. Same politicians help dem escape charges in Jamaica. They marry white women or African Americans and tun dem bitch because gyal have dem secret. Ketch dem one by one and mek justice get served for the victim’s family. Slowly but surely.
