BRANDON WOODARD MURDER UPDATE

Greed was the motivation behind a mob-style drug hit in Midtown, prosecutors argued at the opening of the accused murder mastermind’s trial Tuesday.

Lloyd McKenzie “had 161,000 reasons to kill Brandon Woodard,” so he set up the mid-day slaying on crowded W. 58th St. near Seventh Ave. on Dec. 10, 2012, prosecutors said in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Woodard, 31, hopped on a flight to New York City from Los Angeles to collect $161,000 for 5 kilos of cocaine, authorities said.

“Rather than pay him for the cocaine he had a bullet fired through Brandon Woodard’s skull,” according to prosecutor Jon Viega.

McKenzie faces a murder rap for orchestrating the killing and being the getaway driver, authorities said.

The actual triggerman who ended the young father’s life is still on the loose.

Several other people are looking at drug raps for being involved in the interstate trafficking conspiracy that allegedly led to Woodard’s killing.
