Usain Bolt has been stripped of one of his nine Olympic gold medals in a doping case involving teammate Nesta Carter.
The IOC says Carter tested positive for methylhexaneamine, a banned stimulant, in re-analysis of samples from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Carter and Bolt were teammates on the winning 4×100-meter relay team.
The IOC says “the Jamaican team is disqualified,” and “the corresponding medals, medalist pins and diplomas are withdrawn and shall be returned.”

As to the stripping of the medal, it was rightfully stripped from ALL of them as the dope affected them as a group, win or lose. Blame Nesta for the bif F you to this Jamaica track team….America didn’t dope any of them!!

It really had nothing to do with Bolt. Remember all those years Merlene Otty won but was not awarded until years later? We felt good that she got what she deserved despite the time it took. If Carter is indeed guilty then yes disqualify them, they just Used Bolts name for obvious reasons. Persons would run to read the article about the “fastest man on earth” On the”technical” side of things it does affect him because his medally tally just dropped.
