Elephant was on the menu for guests at the lavish $1m bash to mark President Robert Mugabe’s 91st birthday. A young elephant was shot and feasted on by 20,000 guests at the Zimbabwean dictator’s bash as country’s poor struggle to scrape a living. A second elephant is also due to be shot and given to members of the ‘community.’ The elephants were donated by a game farmer, who also handed over a lion and a crocodile to be stuffed in honour of Mugabe. Forty cows have also been offered by members of the Zimbabwean Government for the celebration, which is due to held at Victoria Falls later today
