A Florida man is behind bars after he allegedly threatened to chop his wife’s arms off with a machete because she wouldn’t have s*x with him.
Elpidio De Leon Pimentel, 84, was arrested Tuesday at his Palm Beach County home after police received a report of a domestic disturbance, the Palm Beach Post reports.
According to authorities, Pimentel’s 80-year-old wife said that she and her husband got into an argument on Monday night, her birthday. The wife said she went to bed and woke up a few hours later with Pimentel on top of her demanding to have s*x.
He allegedly told her that if she didn’t sleep with him “he would cut her arms off.”
The wife said she pushed Pimentel off of her, they argued some more and then he stormed out of the bedroom.
A roomate told officers that she saw the angry man re-enter the bedroom with a “large machete in his hand.” The wife and a second roommate said they never saw the weapon.
Pimentel ended up leaving the home and his wife said she locked him outside until police arrived.
Apparently, this wasn’t the first time Pimentel has been arrested for threatening someone with a machete.
He was taken into custody last year for allegedly hitting a 42-year-old man over the head with the flat side of the weapon. West Palm Beach police said the victim told them that he had came to visit Pimentel and a few other people at an apartment when he got into an argument with Pimentel.
The victim said Pimentel pulled out a 2-foot-long machete and hit. The man had to restrain Pimentel’s to keep him from striking him again. No charges were filed in that incident.
