YOUR WORKS WILL SPEAK FOR YOU- GOOD MORNING

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. (Acts 9:39-41)

Once upon a time in the city of Joppa, there lived a woman who was a philanthropist. She took good care of needy widows, clothed the naked, gave blankets to the poor who couldn’t afford to buy one as well as other acts of charity that endeared her to the people of Joppa. Generally, you would expect people like her to live forever but one day she died and the whole community was thrown into mourning. But they had heard that Peter was nearby at Lydda, so they sent two men to beg him to come immediately and pray for her. Peter’s faith must have been spurred by all the wailing widows; moreover the ears of God are always open to the cry of the poor. God answered their prayer and raised Dorcas back to life.

A man’s worth is measured by how valuable he is to others. What are you worth? How many lives are better because of you? How many people can trace their blessings and miracles to your door step? I have always taught you that whenever God wants to do something here on earth he always looks for a man. The widow of Zeraphath needed a miracle and God sent Elisha to her.

Who has God sent you to? Of what value are you to the people around you? The multitudes followed Jesus because of the miracles He did. You come to liberation city because of what God is doing here at liberation city. Are people coming to you because of what God is doing in and through you? We are called to be many things to others in this world. Not everybody must be a Pastor; there are so many other areas you can serve humanity. Find your area of operation and get busy because a day will come when your life will depend on what you do for others.

Liberation thought: I am a blessing to a hurting world.
