THERE IS USUALLY A GREAT SACRIFICE-GOOD MORNING

There’s Usually a Great Sacrifice

“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation… and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Genesis 12:1-3

Proverbs 10:22 says that the blessing of the Lord maketh rich, and addeth no sorrow with it. That is the blessing we all desire ultimately; blessing that comes with no tragedy nor setbacks, isn’t it? That was the blessing God promised Abram; great promises: “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great. You shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and … curse him who curses you. In you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” But the promise was not without a clause that called for an uneasy sacrifice. Abram must get out of his country, his family and from his father’s house to an unknown land, if he would obtain for God’s blessing. It can never be easy, giving up one’s family!

Would you meditate on this scripture today to determine what you must give up to enter into the great and precious promises of God? Having to depart from one’s nativity, family, and father’s house to go and live in an unknown land is what many will interpret as living a God-forsaken life. What is it that you must give up in order to enter into the great deliverance that God has prepared for you? By God’s command to Abram, nothing is too great to sacrifice, if you are truly determined to be at liberty and consequently released from any bondage: in your finances, marriage, health or whatever. Why not try God today? Beloved, depart from the heathen ways that your ancestors had lived, and chart a new course for your life in God through Christ Jesus. And you will certainly find Him, for the Bible assures: “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.” (Ps 27:10)

Liberation Thought: It takes a great sacrifice to obtain divine deliverance.

Prayer:

Every path that is not in the plan of God for my life I turn away from it NOW in Jesus name. I receive direction from God by the power of the Holy Ghost
I declare that every adversity in my life is a lie of the devil; I am more than conqueror through Christ who strengthens me in the name of Jesus
Lord help me change the things I can change in my life and change that which I can’t change by myself in Jesus name
