THE POWER WORKS FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE
“Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23)
In the kingdom of God, every good thing is surplus to demand. God’s power is always available to bless, deliver, heal, save and transform; but only for those that believe. If you study the Bible, in the book of John, several times when Jesus minister to the sick, He’d say, “Only believe”. This is because your believe is the first ticket towards purchasing whatever you desires from God. If you don’t believe, you can’t experience the power of God. He can’t save you when your heart is beclouded with unbelief.
Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…”. Some people are so full of assumptions and erroneous beliefs that they say things anyhow. Your believe really counts in your as a Christian. Dare to believe! It’s so important.
The Bible, lets us know a place where healing miracles were hard for Jesus as a result of unbelief; His hometown of Nazareth. It recorded that because of His outward behavior or bearing, the people murmured, saying; “Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joseph and Judas, and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended of him” (Mark 6:3). They had been so familiar with Him that they disdained Him. They were even offended that He was acting differently.
Consequently, the Bible recorded that “He could not perform any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them” (Mark 6:5). Now, when the bible says Jesus “could not” do any miracles, it means that He tried; He even attempted to but it didn’t work. He couldn’t perform miracles in Nazareth because the people didn’t believe. The bible says, He “marveled because of their unbelief”, thereby short-circuiting the power of God. The power works for those who believe. There’s no impossibility for you, if you’d only believe.
PRAYER:
Heaven Father, I thank for blessing me with your faith
Every spirit of doubts and unbelief, be destroyed in Jesus name
I receive grace for an excellent spirit in Jesus name
