MANAGE YOUR MONEY WELL-GOOD MORNING

Manage Your Money Well

“Wise people live in wealth and luxury, but stupid people spend their money as fast as they get it.” (Proverbs 21:20 GNT)

The reason couples get a divorce isn’t just adultery. It isn’t abuse. A lot of times it’s financial pressures! Quite a number of divorces relates to financial pressures.
It is not much surprise because the Bible makes it clear that it’s plain foolishness not to manage your money well. And foolishness never ever ends well. (Proverbs 21:20). Often our culture convinces us to buy now and pay later. But my dear friend, no one just drifts into debt or out of it, either. Deciding to build your financial future on the commitment to be responsible begins with intentionality. You must be deliberate about it. And after you have made that important commitment, you need a plan to get there.
The plan to adopt will largely depend on your age and therefore the weight of responsibility on you. If you are still young and without dependants, you could do 10-40-50 ratio. But if you are an adult with much responsibility, you could adopt the 10-10-80 principle. It’s a great way to become intentional about your financial decisions.

(Please note this is only a suggested ratio. Although tithe is fixed)
• Give 10% back to God. God blesses whatever you put him first in.
• Keep 10/40% for yourself. Commit to saving money every time you make money.
• Live on 80/50%. Only fools spend everything they get.

Whether you believe it or not, God uses money to examine you. He is testing your responsibility. And when He looks at your financial decisions in Heaven, He will ask if you were responsible with what He gave you on Earth. What will your answer be?

Prayer:
1 Any hand that has stretched out to take what belongs to me, God of Dr. Chris Okafor cut it off in Jesus name.
2 Every man or woman sitting naked on my money , let that man or woman die in Jesus name.
3 My glory be restored, my financial glory, my marital glory, my carrier glory, be restored by fire in Jesus name
4 Oh God, Let my business doors open, financial doors open, international doors open in the name of Jesus
Liberation thought: I shall always be faithful in my giving to God.
